Peter Rubin was the world’s first live-mixing video jockey. He developed the art form 1979, and his base of operation was the Amsterdam club Mazzo, an ultra hi-tech multi-media environment he designed and directed between 1979-88. Mazzo was selected as one of the world’s ten best clubs by The Face magazine of London. His films have been screened at virtually every major film festivals and have been called “masterpieces” by Los Angeles Times. In recent years, he has developed his large-screen MAX-A-VISION! video projections, which he has performed extensively throughout the world. He has been the official video jockey for all of the Mayday raves as well as all of the Love Parades.
